Short version
You’re buying a license to use Meg, not a subscription. Try it free for 14 days. Your meetings are yours. If you record people, it’s on you to tell them.
1. License
You’re buying a license to use Meg. It is per person and works on all your Macs. It includes all 1.x updates. [counsel: the “keep forever” clause, defined here] These terms include the license agreement (EULA).
2. Trial
You can try Meg free for 14 days from the first launch, on this Mac. No account and no card. When the 14 days end, recording pauses; everything you recorded stays readable, searchable, publishable and in your coding tools.
3. Payment and refunds
The price is €89 once, per person, paid on [owner: merchant]’s checkout page. [owner: refund window and how to ask] [counsel: how the EU withdrawal right for digital content applies, and what the merchant does about it]
4. Meg Lite and team keys
Meg Lite is free for teammates and needs a teammate with Meg to invite you. A trial team key expires with the trial. [counsel: wording for team keys]
5. Your content
Your meetings are yours. Meg keeps them on your Mac as plain Markdown, and we don’t receive them. What you publish goes to the repo you pick. [counsel: any license you grant us]
6. Recording other people
If you record people, it’s on you to tell them and to follow the law where you and they are. Meg doesn’t join the call, so tell people you’re taking notes. [counsel: consent rules by country]
7. Services you connect
Your AI provider, GitHub, Google and Microsoft have their own terms. By connecting them you accept those terms; they are not ours.
8. Acceptable use
Use Meg lawfully, and keep your license key to yourself. [counsel: the full list]
9. Warranty and liability
[counsel: warranty disclaimer and limit of liability]
10. Governing law
[owner: country and courts] [counsel: governing law and venue]
11. Contact
